Online Experience

Kateryna Bondar, II year student, speciality “International Economic Relations + BBA”:

“Once the quarantine began, the question of the distance learning process arose and many students, especially myself as I was a 1st-year student and did not know much about the peculiarities of distance learning, were curious about how the further learning in the university would continue. However, it went pretty well – every week the proper material for each discipline was given along with the homework that needed to be done within a specific time and, to my mind, this time was enough for students to combine the learning process and the private lives of each of us. Some teachers together with students used ZOOM app for the first time but, unfortunately, whether because of the lack of such experience/time or because of the specific app features, lectures were held rarely (except for Business English and Organizational Leadership courses). Nevertheless, we always had an opportunity to contact our teachers in case we had some questions, and teachers were always open to answer them. Preparations for Midterms and Finals were good, too (and some of them were held in ZOOM live conferences). All in all, distance learning, of course, has its pros and cons, but in such a specific case of a worldwide quarantine, I can definitely say that my experience of distance learning is worth it.”
