Books are something that I greatly appreciate ever since my childhood

Kateryna talks about her favorite book:

“Books are something that I greatly appreciate ever since my childhood. I have always read everything and everywhere: at home, in school, on the vacation or on the way. If you ask any of my friends about what I am keen on as much as dancing, they are going to tell you how much I like to read. There is no difference between a short story (novel), detective or historical books for me. There was a time when I was reading only psychological and classical literature, horror stories, poems and fantasy.  Nevertheless, I like reading a lot in general, not taking into account the genres themselves. This love has come to me because of my parents and grandparents. They read books for me when I was a child, they read various books on their own during their whole lives, and now I take this habit of reading and can share my opinions with them and my friends about the last books I have already read.

However, only one and only book that impressed me a lot and is continuing to have a great impact on my life and myself as a personality is Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Even though the books are about the magical world and miracles, the Harry Potter series contains a lot of lessons for people to learn.

First of all, it emphasizes the importance of friendship. Friendship like Harry, Hermione, and Ron had is an example of true friends that stuck together and never give up.

Furthermore, the Harry Potter series has taught me that no one is perfect and that every person has a right to be what he or she wants to be in his or her life. Everyone in the book has ended up getting good and evil inside. This means that we are the ones who choose what we want to be like, and this fact helped me to make better decisions and become a better person.

Finally, these books gave me faith. They taught me the meaning of hope and the light at the end of the road that is always somewhere, but which is too hard to notice at the first time. It gave me the strength to hope in the most troubled situations, as Harry Potter did throughout all his story. And this is why Harry Potter series has so much meaning and power for me as a whole.”
