My hobbies and interests

Iryna Sikorska, II year student, speciality “Management + BBA”. Iryna shares her hobbies and interests:

«I have various hobbies. One of them is painting. When I’m stressed or I don’t feel well, painting allows me to relax, reduce pressure and distract me from worries. Not many people know but this artform also creates a healthy state of mind and boosts memory skills.

Beyond that, I’m fond of travelling. Travelling gives me an opportunity to discover new cultures, architectures and landscapes. And it’s not only about travelling abroad, I also enjoy exploring new places in Ukraine. I have already visited many Ukrainian cities and therefore want to share some of my beloved places and among them are Rynok Square in Lviv, Chernivtsi National University, Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle, Synevyr lake in the Carpathian Mountains, Oleshky Sands and Lemurian lake in Kherson region, Tunnel of Love in Rivne region.

Moreover, I’m keen on reading psychology and self-improvement books. Psychology books teach me how to improve a mindset and the quality of life through self-knowledge. Selfi-improvement books increase confidence, self-believe and gives a lot of useful tips how to be more productive and start making progress to achieve goals and dreams. By the way, there is an exciting fact that 85% of rich people read two or more education, career-related, or self-improvement books per month, compared to 15% of poor.

Furthermore, I like to take part in different projects, make presentations and then present them. During information searching process, I usually find lots of valuable information. Presenting improves communication skills, gives an opportunity to share knowledge with other people. I enjoy this process a lot.

To my mind, hobbies and interests play an essential role in live of every person because they broaden our horizons, make us happier and help us meet new people.»
