Recruiting Events Specialist

Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.

Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our Kyiv hub must be based in Ukraine.

The opportunity

Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Recruiting Events Specialist to join our Recruitment Marketing team. This individual will focus primarily on Grammarly-hosted events and external conference sponsorships. They will work closely with the Recruitment Marketing Manager, Recruiting team, and Engineering managers to support critical hiring pipelines by attracting candidates with relevant backgrounds and helping them feel the excitement of joining Grammarly.

Your impact

As a Recruiting Events specialist, you will create events from idea to execution for various audiences to support recruiting pipelines for critical positions that help the company achieve its goals. You will execute an events strategy to increase Grammarly’s Engineering brand awareness among our target audiences and help Grammarly stand out among other companies on the market. You will also have an opportunity to test different approaches to events formats and implement your craziest ideas.

  • In your first 30 days, you will establish meaningful relationships with the Recruiting team and hiring managers in Engineering. You’ll understand the role of recruitment marketing in the organization and get familiar with the existing processes. You’ll shadow already-scheduled events and activities to develop a first-person view of how they work.
  • By month three, you will take the lead on planning your first meetups with the Engineering team and execute one event from idea to realization.
  • By month six, you will take responsibility for a few critical hiring pipelines and work closely with recruiters to accelerate our efforts in bringing in relevant candidates. You will be responsible for both Grammarly-hosted events and sponsorships for your tracks.
  • Beyond the first year, you’ll contribute to scaling Grammarly’s recruiting pipelines by organizing exceptional technical events and telling the Grammarly story at external events. Along with that, you will learn how to operate data to support your decisions and suggestions.
