Educational programs of the University. What to choose?

Liubov Zharova, Ph.D., Professor, Head of the International Economic Relations, Business and Management Department, NAQA international expert:

Our University offers several programs that are based on economic knowledge and the development of management competencies but with differences. So, it’s worth explaining what each educational program focuses on.

Management. The main focus of the program is on building and managing processes within the organization. The main emphasis is on the enterprise’s activity – it is not just an understanding of “how it works” but also the ability to see relationships and understand what can be improved or how to build organization from scratch.

International Business. The program focuses on conducting business in the international arena. Here, more attention is paid to the functioning of the enterprise in a trans-cultural environment, which will affect all business processes – from accounting to working with personnel and competitive strategies. Knowledge of English and the possibility of internships in international companies immediately allow for testing knowledge during the study.

IT management. The program was created based on the understanding that current processes in a modern organization can be optimized with the help of modern tools, which also allows for reducing the organization’s costs by entrusting the monkey job to a computer or AI. However, knowledge of only IT tools does not make a manager a manager, so this program focuses on how to use IT in management, not just familiarity with applications, which allows applicants to adapt to conditions of constant technological development.

International Economic Relations. The program’s focus is on understanding macroeconomic processes, this is the knowledge that allows you to rise to the level of a consultant (including in the government, not only companies). IER is about analyzing the situation yourself, seeing its causes, and predicting the consequences. It is an opportunity to see economic changes behind political decisions and to understand what threats (or opportunities) may arise for business when entering international markets and what to do about it.

Business administration. Program focuses on business development at both the local and international levels. BA is focused on developing a practical understanding of finance, marketing, and business management. This is the ability to see processes as a whole and to think strategically.
