Bystrov Oleksii, I year student, speciality “Management + BBA”. Oleksii shares his impressions shares his impressions about of the first lecture of the course “Principles of Entrepreneurship” by financial analyst Paul Thomas:
“I think it is not surprising, that all lectures are typical and similar. That`s the main reason why these are not memorable.
The lesson should include some interactions or group performances to be outstanding. Or to be certainly interesting, like the first Principles of Entrepreneurship lecture was.
First things first, it was very hard to understand. That`s because of big break from studying at all, and huge break from language, actually. Complicated business terms, quick speech and not stable Zoom connection made that lecture highly problematic. But it was exciting opportunity to check my possibility to understand native speakers and fluent English at all. Frankly speaking, before that I only had that chance in games.
Anyway, I have adopted huge amount of information including facts, subjective and objective thoughts. It was really interesting and useful. I liked all the examples that Mr. Paul Thomas had given, which were well-aimed and easy to understand.
It is necessary point that this lecture was online. It means that Mr. Paul Thomas real professional. It is truly difficult to interest students through online, as I think.
Undoubtedly, COVID pandemic played its part. More than half of lectures in 1 semester were online, that made them typical and not memorable. I hope that 2 semester will be more saturated and active.”
