Vlada, an HMC Projects scholar from Zalishchyky, has successfully completed her first year of study at New Hall School in Essex, United Kingdom, where she is studying on a two-year scholarship.
Alongside her outstanding academic performance, Vlada continues to develop her musical talent. In a video published by HMC Projects, she performs the Nocturne by contemporary Ukrainian composer Oleh Polovynko.
“I can’t believe a whole year at New Hall has already passed. It feels like I just unpacked my suitcases, and now I’m getting ready to go home for the summer holidays. This year has been full of unforgettable experiences: concerts, academic competitions, trips, and new friendships. Studying in the UK has taught me not only how to succeed academically but also how to embrace new opportunities and grow as a pianist,” says Vlada.
The Ukrainian-American Concordia University serves as the coordinator of the HMC Projects program in Ukraine, supporting the selection of Ukrainian high school students for scholarships to study for two years at prestigious independent schools in the United Kingdom.
