At the beginning of this learning year Moodle was a completely new thing to me that I had never heard of before. But now I can’t imagine my education without it because it is a part of Ukrainian-American Concordia University. This is a platform where we can see our assignments, grades, comments from the teachers. In addition, here we can write Midterms and Finals. Especially during quarantine time it is a really useful system. Moodle contains all information related to the educational process and every student can check it regularly in order not to miss an essential announcement. This is convenient, easy and effective platform and I am happy that our university uses it.

It is worth mentioning, that the situation in the world, caused by the pandemic caught everyone off guard, as no one was prepared for it. Luckily the Dean’s Office did everything to provide students with proper education. First of all, the students were working on Moodle, which was easy and convenient. I have to admit that all professors were preparing useful materials and interesting ways to stay connected with us. Concerning the curriculum, there had to be some changes, whereas students couldn’t physically complete several tasks, but all the shifts were done nimbly. Obviously, things couldn’t be perfectly done, but to my honest opinion, the quarantine time was productive, both professors and students were working hard to finish this academic year successfully.

Moodle played a crucial role in our distance learning and helped us to receive materials/homeworks, view grades and contact with teachers. Also, with Moodle we passed exams. However, because of the large number of students who had to take an exam, Moodle system did not work well and, as a result, we had some technical problems. Nevertheless, the more we faced this kind of issue, the faster the proper ways were found to avoid technical problems with Moodle. All in all, Moodle system is still my favorite one in terms of the learning sphere.
