Anastasia shares her first impressions about classes and instructors at ConcordiaUA:
«Hello everyone! My name is Anastasiia and I am a first-year student at Ukrainian-American Concordia University (UACU). I would like to share my personal experience of studying at UACU after finishing the 1st semester. To start with, I learned about the university a long time ago. Students of our specialized school #5 take part in the Business English Competition every year and our teachers in Business English usually tell us about all benefits of the university and promote studying in Concordia University. So, when I first entered the door of UACU, I had already known some information about it and I had high expectations for my first year. And I was not disappointed and I am really glad that I have chosen this university. Let me explain why I think so.
First of all, I love studying management. It is a very interesting sphere that covers everything, from psychology to finances. One of the most important parts of the education process is that all subjects are crucial and will be very useful in my future profession. We always have a lot of information that is supported by practical tasks. The work is always interesting and unusual, like shooting a promo video ad, writing an agenda, minutes, and referendum for a meeting, or even writing a recommendation letter to your groupmate. We always have a lot of teamwork that makes us feel like real managers. During the task, we are trying to get along with each other and work together on a common project.
Secondly, it would be right to mention that my groupmates are excellent. They are friendly, funny, clever and can help you anytime. It is also related to all staff who works at the university. I also would like to say about the great organization of a study process during the quarantine time; our Moddle application is easy to use and helps us a lot in our productivity. We can monitor our tasks and grades anytime everywhere.
Thirdly, as I have mentioned before all our subjects are very useful and connected with real life. The subject that I would like to highlight, without any doubt, is the Principles of Entrepreneurship. It is a course which gives us a unique opportunity to listen to lecturers of successful business people in their sphere from all over the world, speaking on individual topics. Thus we not only meet successful people but can take part in an interesting discussion with them.
Finally, studying all subjects in English is also great for its improvement. We are constantly writing, speaking, reading in English all the time and I feel that my language knowledge has been improved a lot.
As far as you can see, my expectations are satisfied. I am enjoying studying at Concordia University and hope to learn about it more.»
