What new has 2022 brought to us besides the terrible tragedy of the 21st century – war in the center of Europe? Of course, war is a tragedy, wherever and whenever it happens…
At the Ukrainian-American Concordia University, we offered a new format of academic mobility during this period. In the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, after russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we asked our partners to provide an opportunity for our students to study subjects online at their universities. ACSENDA School of Management (Vancouver, Canada) and our cofounder – Concordia University Wisconsin (USA) were the first to respond. Our partners from other countries also provided the opportunity to study online:
ACSENDA School of Management, Canada enrolled the students for the following subjects:
The American University of Richmond, Great Britain provided the online course – Intro to Intercultural Communications especially for our students, to which we invited students from other higher education institutions and schools of Ukraine.
Students have taken the opportunity to take the following courses at Concordia University Wisconsin (for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D.):
The University of Trier (Germany) made it possible for students to study the courses of Strategic and Innovation Management and German Language offline.
Our students have successfully completed the courses.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, we currently have the following plans for studying at universities under the academic mobility program:
Great News:
Our students have been selected to receive an exchange scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (‘Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst/ DAAD’), with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
The scholarship is part of the DAAD’s program “Ukraine Digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis”, and seeks to support Ukrainian students in continuing and completing their studies virtually.
