PwC Advisory Government & Public Services team will provide you with an opportunity to be involved in Ukraine recovery projects, contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction, and engaging with government institutions, international donors and civil society.

Your daily tasks:
As an expert, your daily tasks and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Participate in the end-to-end delivery of project focused on assessing an impact of the war on the national and city infrastructure, which may include:
  • Desk review of target city councils’ operational capabilities and functions before the war and during the war.
  • Desk review of public infrastructure (water, gas and electricity supplies, public transport, educational and medical institutions etc.), public services available and other industrial infrastructure (primary material industry, food-related, etc.).
  • Analysis of activities of domestic private companies (status of private services such as markets, and status of plant operations, preparation and issues for severe winter).
  • Support in verification and validation of information provided by state authorities within desk review process. 
  • Analysis of the latest living conditions (status of evacuees (domestic and international), general situation and living conditions of returnees, operation of evacuation centers, preparation and challenges for severe winter) of the target city. 
  • Support in collecting and analysing information about damages caused by the war.
  • Coordinate information gathering process with central and local government authorities. 
  • Support in preparing templates, information requests/documents, and other relevant proposal inputs in accordance with the project objectives and the firm’s branding policies and standards.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of work experience, including at least 3 years of relevant experience in drafting analytical reports and/or big data analysis (preparation of analytical reports or studies for public sector clients and/or international donor organisations would be a plus).
  • Proven track record in the delivery of analytical studies.
  • Understanding of critical public infrastructure (for example, water, electricity, transport, gas and social – education and medical, etc.). 
  • Experience of delivering projects for local state authorities would be a plus.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with big data.
  • University degree in public administration, economics or finance, social work.
  • Ability to work in a multinational and dynamic environment. 
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, (proficiency in MS Access is a plus).
  • Ukrainian – native/fluent, English – upper-intermediate.
