The language of instruction at UACU is English in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” (Article 48).
International students enrolled at UACU are provided with hostel accommodation. They have full access to UACU’s library resources and eagerly participate in social and cultural extracurricular events and activities. Local and international students study together. All international students are to pay the established tuition fees.

Rules and Procedure for International Admissions:
- Ukrainian-American Concordia University provides education to foreign citizens and stateless persons in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, “On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons”, “On Foreign Ukrainians”, “On Refugees and Persons in Need of Additional or Temporary Protection”, “On the Establishment of Additional Legal and Social Guarantees for Citizens of the Republic of Poland Staying in Ukraine”; Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of September 12, 2018 N 729 “Issues of Higher Education for Certain Categories of Persons”; Procedure for Organizing Admission to UACU and Training (Internship) of Foreigners and Stateless Persons Using the Unified Interagency Information System of Ukraine for Foreigners and Stateless Persons Who Wish to Study in Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of June 28, 2024, No. 758; Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of November 1, 2013, No. 1541 “Some Issues of Organizing Recruitment and Training (Internship) of Foreigners and Stateless Persons, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on November 25, 2013 under N 2004/24536; Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated December 2, 2019 N 1498 “On Approval of the Procedure for Establishing Quotas for Higher Education by Foreigners and Stateless Persons within the State Order in accordance with International Treaties of Ukraine”, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on February 10, 2020 under N 153/34436.
Citizens of the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Belarus and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea who do not have a permanent residence permit in Ukraine are admitted to study with an individual permit from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
- The submission of applications and documents, entrance examinations, competitive selection, and enrollment for studies of foreigners and stateless persons who permanently reside in Ukraine, based on Complete General Secondary Education (CGSE) for obtaining a bachelor’s degree and based on NQF Level 6 for obtaining a master’s degree, shall be carried out within the following timeframes:

- Foreigners are enrolled at the Ukrainian-American Concordia University on grounds of administrative orders on admission listed on the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.
- Foreigners and stateless persons submit to the Admissions Office the following:

- the Certificate of previous (matriculation / school leaving / high school diploma / etc.) education or degree obtained with the accompanying Transcript Record, containing the names of subjects, scores and grades achieved (nostrified and legalized translation into Ukrainian);
- a photocopy of a valid Medical Insurance Policy testifying their right for urgent medical treatment;
- a notarized photocopy of the national passport (its notarized translation into Ukrainian);
- the Invitation to Study (original);
- the Certificate of Legalization (nostrification) of a foreign document on education in Ukraine;
- 4 (four) photos (3 x 4 cm), matte type.
- When admitting individuals who submit a document confirming a degree (educational level) obtained abroad (hereinafter referred to as the Document), the procedure of recognition and establishment of equivalence of the Document is mandatory. This procedure is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated May 5, 2015, No. 504 “Certain Issues of Recognition in Ukraine of Foreign Educational Documents,” registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on May 27, 2015, under No. 614/27059. Nostrification is carried out within six months from the beginning of studies at the university at the Information and Image Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
- The language of instruction at the Ukrainian-American Concordia University is English. The curriculum includes a course of the Ukrainian language.
- Foreigners are enrolled into a Bachelor’s DegreeProgram based on the admission examination results (evaluated on the 100-point scale transferred from the 200-point placement test; the competitive score being 100–200) on the terms and pursuant to the conditions set forth in the Student Agreement signed.

- Foreigners are enrolled into a Master’s DegreeProgram on grounds of a previously obtained Bachelor’s Degree in a related speciality (field of study) or specialization and based on the admission examinations results: English and the principal subject in the specialist area(s). In order to qualify for admission to other programs (in a speciality which is not related to the previously obtained degree) an entrant is to undergo training in the core baccalaureate subjects. Admission examinations results are evaluated on the 100-point scale transferred from the 200-point placement test, the competitive score being 100–200.

- Foreigners arriving in Ukraine in order to participate in academic mobility schemes or to receive a higher education on the programs and curricula approved by institutions of higher education in their country of citizenship and Ukraine are enrolled on grounds of and with due regard for the relevant agreement commitments of UACU.
- The Preparatory Department for international students provides language training according to the education plan within one year. Applications to the Preparatory Department are accepted all year round. Students/trainees receive a relevant certificate on completion.
