The Ukrainian-American Concordia University announces the call for application into the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Program for full-time (resident) and part-time (distance) forms of study at the expense of legal entities and individuals for the year 2025.
The language of instruction at UACU is English in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” (Article 48).
Acceptance of applications and documents, entrance examinations, competitive selection and enrolment of applicants on the basis of the NQF 7 for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is carried out in the following terms: from 03 September 2025 to 20 October 2025.
A prerequisite for acceptance of the application is the successful completion of the Unified Entrance Examination in research methodology (ЄВВ) in 2025 and successful completion of the Unified Entrance Exam (ЄВІ) in 2023, 2024 or 2025, with a score of at least 150 points in each section.
Competitive selection for higher education degrees is carried out on the basis of the results of entrance examinations and consideration of motivation letters. Requirements for motivation letters are developed by UACU Admission Office.

Programs of admission examinations:
Admission Procedure
The documents required to be submitted for admission to the Ph.D. Program:
an application in the prescribed form for admission to the entrance examinations;
consent to the collection and processing of personal data;
a copy of a Master’s degree (Specialist’s degree) indicating the speciality obtained;
a copy of the diploma supplement with grades;
a written description of the applicant’s previous scientific activity (if any);
CV;
4 photos 3 × 4 cm in size;
a copy of the relevant pages of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a foreign passport;
a copy of the certificate with the taxpayer’s registration number;
a copy of the employment record book (if any);
a copy of the document on military registration (for men applying for full-time study);
a certificate from the place of work;
if necessary, a document on the recognition of a person as a person with a disability by the medical and social examination authorities;
original diploma of complete higher education, passport and military registration document (for men) are submitted by the applicant in person. The package of documents is not accepted without the originals.
Applicants who submit a document certifying a degree (level) of education received in another state (hereinafter – the Document), must undergo the procedure of legalization and recognition of the Document in accordance with the Procedure established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, MESU Order No. 504 dated May 5th 2015 registered in Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice on May 27 2015, No. 614/27059.
Individuals applying for admission into the doctoral program at Ukrainian-American Concordia University on grounds of a basic or complete higher education in a different specialization may be subject to additional admission examination evaluated on a pass/fail scale. An applicant who receives a “fail” is disqualified from competitive doctoral entrance examinations.
The order in which UACU’s competitive doctoral entrance exams are taken is as follows:
additional entrance exam (if required) → foreign language → speciality.
The entrance exam results for the Ph.D. Program are valid for admission to UACU for one calendar year.
Tuition fee are to be paid each semester.
