We are pleased to announce the winners of the Business English Competition, held in the distance mode on April 22nd, 2023.
1st Place:
- Oleksandr Herasymov (Vinnytsia, Podillia Scientific and Technical Lyceum for Gifted Youth, 9th grade) – 175.97 points in total. Additional awards & achievements: Stage 1 Winner (highest test score); 3rd highest score at Stage 2 (Business Presentation) (topic: “Lumina”) with a special award “Up-to-date idea.”
- Yeva Kosinova (Kyiv, Specialized School No. 155 with In-depth English Language Learning, 11th grade) – 175.46 points in total. Additional awards & achievements: Stage 2 Winner; highest business presentation score (topic: “Skillspark”) with a special award “WOW effect.”
2nd Place:
- Veronika Haivanovych (Truskavets, Ukraine / Čadca, the Slovak Republic; Slovak-English bilingual section at the Joseph Miloslav Gurban Gymnasium in Čadca, Slovakia, 10th grade) – 171.60 points in total. Additional awards & achievements: Stage 2 Winner; 2nd highest business presentation score (topic: “Zenith Learning”) with a special award “Maturity & professionalism.”
- Anastasiia Susol (Lutsk, Lutsk Lyceum No. 21, 11th grade) – 165.08 points in total. Additional award: special award for business presentation “Sustainable ideas” (topic: “Green Glow”).
3rd Place:
- Bohdana Pashuk (Lutsk, Lutsk Lyceum No. 21, 11th grade) – 150.67 points in total. Achievement: 5th score at Stage 1 (Test).
- Mariia Hodovanets (Kyiv, Gymnasium of International Relations No. 323, 11th grade) – 150.08 points in total. Achievement: 2nd highest score at Stage 1 (Test).
- Uliana Fedenko (Kyiv, Specialized School No. 211, 11th grade) – 149.23 points in total. Additional awards & achievements: special award for business presentation “Fresh idea” (topic: “Culture Hub”); 4th highest score at Stage 2 (Business Presentation).
The winners of BEC 2023 will receive 50% (3rd place), 75% (2nd place) or 100% (1st place) tuition discounts at UACU if they apply for a Bachelor’s degree program. The participants can see their scores/points received in Moodle (UACU Distance Learning Center). The diplomas and certificates will be issued and emailed to the participants within two weeks.
