Discussion with Kurt Walker

During the meeting of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink with President Volodymyr Zelensky, issues of his upcoming meeting with President Joe Biden, assistance for the urgent needs of the Armed Forces, the first transfer to Ukraine of Russian oligarchs’ assets confiscated in the US and other important issues were discussed.

Sergei Vakarin handed over his book “2030: Lessons for Ukraine” to the Ambassador for the high delegation.

In difficult times for Ukraine, many countries provide it with significant aid, but US aid since the beginning of the Great War has become unprecedented. The Americans have provided Ukraine with about 75 billion dollars.

After the visit, Vakarin took part in an important discussion with Kurt Walker, former US Ambassador to NATO and former Special Envoy of the US State Department to Ukraine. This discussion was organized by Professional government association of Ukraine to discuss the outcomes of the Vilnius NATO summit. Volker considers it unacceptable for Ukraine “to get stuck in the waiting room of NATO”. Ukraine is fighting for a free Europe, i.e. it does all the work for NATO, and in return, NATO must urgently provide Ukraine with a clear membership plan.
