Upon his appointment as the Director of Ukraine-NATO Center, Dr Sergei Vakarin held meetings with the US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Remi Duflot, the Deputy Ambassador of United Kingdom Nicholas Harrocks. Vakarin took part in the discussions of NATO membership prospects at the Conference on Outcomes of Vilnius NATO Summit at the General Directorate of Foreign Missions in Ukraine with the participation of diplomats from NATO countries, representatives of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine, experts and the media, and conducted negotiations with the ex-Commander of the US forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges in the framework of the Conference “Ukraine and NATO on the eve of the Vilnius Summit”, where Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security Service of Ukraine, and deputy heads of the OPU and MOU spoke.
