The first meeting of the EU ministers of foreign affairs outside the EU took place in Kyiv

The Head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell emphasized that the total aid to Ukraine from the EU and member states of the union reached 85 billion euros, being the largest aid given to Ukraine. The EU is creating an aid fund for Ukraine, from which 5 billion euros per year will be allocated from 2024 to 2027 for arming and training military personnel. Germany and a number of other European countries announced an increase in aid to Ukraine.

These and other EU’s actions confirm the irreversibility of Ukraine’s EU accession.

In honor of this historic event , Sergei Vakarin visited the EU Delegation, congratulated the Deputy Head of the EU Representation in Ukraine Remi Duflot on its successful completion and handed over his book 2030: Lessons for Ukraine for the EU Delegation to Ukraine. Vakarin received from Remi Duflot the book of Vice President of the European Commission, Head of European Diplomacy Josep Borrell “The Year that War Returned to Europe: EU Foreign Policy in 2022”. A fruitful conversation took place about the possibilities of cooperation on the way to the EU membership of Ukraine and urgent issues in the context of European accession. Vakarin also presented the Deputy Ambassador with his book on STEAM education (published by the Summit Book publishing house with the help of the specialized department of the European Commission).
