“Hello, everyone! I am Ann. I am a student of the Concordia University. And i am proud of being a part of this unity!

No one can dispute the fact that life in university is complicated for the first-year student. There are lots of new meetings, people, places etc. So a freshman should adapt to this environment as fast as possible. Moreover, it also may influence his/her perception of the adult life. That’s why everything should be under control and well-organized. Thus, the daily issues will not take so much time to be solved.

As for me, for the first time I found it hard to survive without parents’ help and care. I should consider every single daily tip so that not too late to university or manage to do all homework. That’s why I began to plan my day and keep everything in order to be aware of what is going on. Actually, now it is less difficult to do as I adjust myself to it. As a result, I do not procrastinate and try to study well at university.

Another major problem that most fresheners face with is a new city where they begin their studying. More often, both colleges and universities are located in large cities where there are crowded roads, heavy traffic and long-distance way. For instance, now I live in Kiev and from time to time it is terrible and exhausted to get to the main place. However, I get used to it, and even found the way of spending time in the bus efficiently. For example, I put on my headphones and read books or repeat material from lectures. Thus, the time glides and I do not pay attention to the traffic.

In conclusion I can say, that students ought not to afraid of adulthood and be active during their life in university. Consequently, it will boost their responsibility and reliability that definitely will help them in their career and daily life.”
