Description
The project deals with financial reporting capability for EPAM. Building of Financial DWH as a part of big Enterprise Data landscape (bi-directional integration with Data Lake), as well as creation of financial reports with complicated security controls and publishing on Power BI Service (cloud).
In an interesting and challenging BI project, we are looking for an Analyst with BA/BI/Data specialization for wide range of activities such as business requirements collection and its translation into BI/DWH product ‘language’ as well as final artifacts (reports) planning. Power BI experience and knowledge are very welcomed to do prototypes, mock-ups, or even final reports keeping still primary focus on BA activities.
Responsibilities
- Functional and non-functional requirements collection and specification
- Source data systems and destination database mappings creation
- Metrics and KPIs definitions inc. calculation logic specification
- Database objects planning
- Reports layout from UX perspective analysis and negotiation (incl. prototyping in Power BI)
- Deep collaboration with the stakeholders and project team
Requirements
- Experience with Financial/Accounting/Budgeting/PNL areas (a big plus)
- Understanding of DWH principles, ETL approaches, OLAP cubes
- Experience in BI project as a BA/Data Analyst (Finance domain is a big plus)
- MS Excel functionality (pivot tables, lookup functions)
- MS Power BI tool: DAX would be a big plus
- Metrics/KPIs/CSFs planning, specification, and approval
- Experience in examining/investigation data with help of SQL
- Experience with complected security/access requirements analysis would be a plus
- Creating Specification Documentation, Process/Flow Diagram preparation
- Experience of managing customer expectations, negotiations
- Experience of leading meetings
- English level: A2 (A2+)
