We are looking for a People & Culture Country Operations Specialist to join Roche based in Kiev, Ukraine.
In the role of People & Culture Country Operations Specialist, you will be part of the People Shared Services (PSS) chapter. You will work closely with the broader PSS organization and will provide specific country services needed to be performed in the local language or needed to have local physical presence because of the relationship with Government authorities, tax and/or labor offices.
The main focus of the P&C Country Operations Specialist relates to personal interaction with external stakeholders: Government authorities, External vendors (e.g. Payroll Provider, local law firm), Works council, managing local payroll, benefits administration and operations, contracts and documentation issuance, etc.
Your Key Accountabilities:
(Including but not limited to:)
Payroll/Time
- Perform all related payroll activities or manage the relationship with 3rd party vendors
- Performs the monthly deductions for Roche Connect – where applicable
- Performs all time management related activities
Employee Lifecycle/Operations
- Issuing employment contracts
- Storing documents
- Bank account maintenance
- Managing sick leave certificates
- Issuing reference letters
- Issuing confirmations of employment/salary
- Sending documents to government institutions
Benefits Operations
- Conduct benefit administration and operations activities, including enrolment, deduction, calculations, payment, form processing and other related benefit tasks.
- Conduct Workday or benefit administration data and system set-up work and auditing, ensuring accurate benefit enrollment, changes, interfaces and integrations with vendors, partnering with Payroll and IT as needed
- Perform data auditing and reporting (including legal and regulatory) as required by the local country and programs
- Support the implementation of new/existing benefits programs, vendors or changes,
- Interface with and manage benefit vendors to ensure accuracy, high service levels and desired employee experience
- Support updates to employee communications and policy materials
- Escalation point and resource for People Support Team on benefits enquiries, supporting end-to-end resolution
- Proactively identify process improvements and troubleshoot complex issues to determine root cause and solutions for resolution
Recruiting
- Local language interviews
- Job posting adhering to local legal requirements (e.g. RAV), immigration etc
- Explanation of unique local benefits
- Creating and issuing offers to final candidates
- Onboarding new hires
- Support managers in recruiting activities
Key Capabilities Required:
- Knowledge of local payroll, tax and benefit regulations
- knowledge of local statutory reporting requirements
- Knowledge of local job-posting obligations and recruiting skills
